City officials and contractors have commenced renovations at the Montrose Wastewater Treatment Plant, which has been operational since 1984. The upgrades are necessary due to aging infrastructure and the unavailability of parts for older equipment.

The City of Montrose has initiated major improvement projects at the Montrose Wastewater Treatment Plant, which has been in service since 1984. City Utilities Director Dave Bries noted that much of the facility's equipment has been running continuously for decades, leading to challenges in maintenance and reliability due to aging infrastructure. The lack of available parts for older equipment has further necessitated these upgrades.
