The City of Ballarat council has identified five major infrastructure projects for funding ahead of the November 28, 2026, Victorian state election. These projects include upgrades to the Ballarat Aerodrome, the Circular Economy Precinct, Dyson Drive duplication, Ballarat-Carngham Road improvements, and the Wendouree Library. The council emphasizes the need for investment to support the region's growth and meet increasing service demands.

The Circular Economy Precinct aims to sort 30,000 tonnes of recyclables annually. The Dyson Drive duplication, costing $88.3 million, and upgrades to Ballarat-Carngham Road, will improve road infrastructure for the growing population.
Lastly, the $23 million Wendouree Library will serve existing and future residents. The council seeks government investment to address high construction costs and ensure the region's growth.
