Claros Secures $30M Seed Funding to Develop Energy Solutions for Data Centers
Claros has secured $30 million in seed funding, co-led by General Catalyst and Red Cell Partners, to enhance its chip-to-grid platform aimed at improving energy efficiency in data centers. The company has developed three integrated voltage regulator designs and is currently testing them in Los Angeles, with plans to expand its team. Claros, which emerged from stealth in February 2025, seeks to address the projected 8% of U.S. electricity consumption attributed to data centers by 2030.

Claros has raised $30 million in seed funding, co-led by General Catalyst and Red Cell Partners. The funds will advance its chip-to-grid platform, consisting of integrated voltage regulators (IVRs) and a Power Gateway, to improve energy efficiency in data centers.
The company has fabricated three IVR designs and is testing them in its Los Angeles lab, with plans to expand its team from 26 to at least 36. Claros, which emerged from stealth in February 2025 with initial funding of $9.75 million, aims to address the unsustainable energy demands of data centers, projected to represent 8% of US electricity consumption by 2030.
