Clayco Establishes Solar and Energy Storage Business Unit Led by Ryan Johnson
Clayco has launched a new solar and energy storage business unit, led by Ryan Johnson, a veteran in solar energy infrastructure. The unit has secured its first project for battery energy storage systems in Illinois, expected to mobilize in 2026. This initiative complements the company's existing data center-focused business line, Clayco Compute. As electricity demand is projected to grow 15% to 20% by 2030, Clayco aims to meet this demand through renewable energy solutions.

This launch follows the January 2025 introduction of the Clayco Compute business line focused on data centers. Clayco aims to address this demand with renewable energy solutions, emphasizing its commitment to modern infrastructure needs.
