Clayco Establishes Solar and Energy Storage Business Unit Led by Ryan Johnson
ENERGY STORAGEDATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE
Clayco has launched a solar and energy storage business unit, led by Ryan Johnson, a former president of Signal Energy Constructors. The unit's first project involves battery energy storage systems in Illinois, expected to mobilize in 2026.
This launch follows the January 2025 introduction of the Clayco Compute business line focused on data centers. Despite challenges in data center expansion, electricity demand is forecasted to increase 15% to 20% by 2030. Clayco aims to address this demand with renewable energy solutions, emphasizing its commitment to modern infrastructure needs.
