Cleanaway Plans 10-Year Capital Investment to Support Circular Economy Initiatives
Cleanaway is set to increase capital investment over the next decade until 2030, focusing on various circular economy strategies to reduce landfill waste. The Eastern Creek Food and Garden Organics project is the largest currently active, aligning with the federal goal to halve landfill waste by 2030. The company aims to monetize outputs from these initiatives, including energy and recovered resins.

Cleanaway will enhance capital investment for about 10 years until 2030 to implement circular economy strategies aimed at reducing landfill waste. The Eastern Creek Food and Garden Organics project is the largest active initiative, supporting the federal objective to cut landfill waste in half by 2030. Cleanaway also intends to generate revenue from these strategies through the sale of energy and resins recovered during processing.
