CleanTech Lithium Secures 40-Year Contract in Chile for Lithium Production
CleanTech Lithium PLC has obtained a long-term special operating contract in Chile, marking a significant milestone. This agreement supports a project with a pre-tax NPV of $1.37 billion and low operating costs, aligning with projected lithium supply deficits.

CleanTech Lithium PLC has secured a long-term operating contract in Chile, potentially lasting up to 40 years. The Laguna Verde project features a pre-tax net present value (NPV) of $1.37 billion and operating costs below $6 per kilogram, positioning it in the lowest cost quartile globally.
With lithium prices on the rise and anticipated supply shortages over the next decade, the company aims to select a strategic partner by the end of the year. Concurrently, process trials in North America and Chile are validating the project's processing flowsheet for battery-grade lithium carbonate production. The successful execution of this contract could enhance CleanTech's competitive edge in the lithium market.
