Clhynn Develops Self-Sustaining Hydrogen Fuel Cell in Besançon for Green Transport
Clhynn, a startup in Besançon, has developed a self-sustaining hydrogen fuel cell that generates its own hydrogen, aiming to promote low-carbon mobility. The fuel cell utilizes a nickel membrane, reducing costs and environmental impact. The company plans to raise €6 million to build a production unit, which will create approximately 60 jobs by 2027.

Clhynn, based in Besançon, has developed a hydrogen fuel cell that can generate its own hydrogen without needing a refueling station. This innovation aims to facilitate the adoption of hydrogen for low-carbon transportation.
Currently, more than 95% of hydrogen is produced from fossil fuels, presenting challenges for decarbonization. Clhynn's fuel cell features a nickel membrane, which is more cost-effective and environmentally friendly. The startup plans to raise €6 million to establish a production unit, expected to create around 60 jobs by 2027.
