HYDROGEN

In 2025, Loir-et-Cher experienced significant setbacks, highlighted by the closure of the Brandt factory in Vendôme on December 11, impacting 91 employees. The factory had undergone multiple ownership changes and filed for bankruptcy twice, with the last attempt at rescue by Revive failing.

The ValÉco waste center, opened in January, was destroyed by fire on March 3, prompting plans for reconstruction. Road safety worsened, with 30 deaths reported by December, up from 19 the previous year.

The hydrogen project Elogen in Vendôme was abandoned, and the Châteauvieux nursing home ceased operations on January 22, affecting 12 residents and 43 staff. The Tasciaca project in Thésée was frozen due to financial uncertainties, while cereal prices plummeted despite improved yields.
