CloudBurst Secures Approval for 706-Acre Data Center Near San Antonio, Texas
CloudBurst Data Centers has received approval for a 706-acre data center project near San Antonio, involving a $500 million tax abatement. The investment totals $14.5 billion and aims to construct 10-12 buildings over three phases, starting in 2026.

The Guadalupe Commissioners Court approved CloudBurst's development of a 706-acre data center near San Antonio on April 21, 2026. The project will feature a 1.2GW capacity, constructed in three phases of 400MW each, with the initial phase of 50MW already underway and expected to be operational by Q4 2026.
CloudBurst plans to invest $14.5 billion in the facility, which is projected to generate approximately $120 million annually in tax revenue for local governments. Local opposition was noted during the approval process, which passed by a narrow margin. The company, founded in 2022, is also working on another data center in Oklahoma City.
