Coal India Secures ₹1,057 Cr Battery Storage Project from Telangana Power Generation Corporation
Coal India has been awarded a project worth ₹1,057 crore to construct a 187.5 MW / 750 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) plant. The facility will provide energy storage for four hours. Coal India is required to submit necessary documents within 15 days and provide a Performance Bank Guarantee prior to signing the Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement (BESPA).

Coal India has secured a ₹1,057 crore project from Telangana Power Generation Corporation to build a 187.5 MW / 750 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) plant. This plant is designed to offer energy storage for four hours. Coal India is obligated to submit required documentation within 15 days and must provide a Performance Bank Guarantee before finalizing the Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement (BESPA).
