Cobra Resources has appointed Andrew Michelmore AO as non-executive chairman, succeeding Greg Hancock after eight years. This leadership change is expected to influence the company's strategic direction and governance structure immediately.

Cobra Resources (LSE:COBR) confirmed the appointment of Andrew Michelmore AO as non-executive chairman, taking over from Greg Hancock. Michelmore currently leads the Mineral Council of Australia and Century Aluminium Company (NASDAQ:CENX), valued at approximately $6.5 billion.
He holds a first-class degree in chemical engineering from the University of Melbourne and a master's in politics, philosophy, and economics from the University of Oxford. The company will restructure its board committees immediately, with Daniel Maling chairing both the audit and remuneration committees, while Michelmore will be a member of both. This leadership transition may impact Cobra's future initiatives and stakeholder engagement.
