Commemoration Event for 20 January Tragedy Held in Izmir
On January 18, a commemoration event for the 26th anniversary of the 20 January tragedy was held at the 'Shafran' hotel in Izmir, organized by Smart Hotels Group and Space Travel, with support from the Izmir Azerbaijan Society (İZAZDER) and the Azerbaijan Health Tourism Support Association. The event highlighted the historical significance of the 20 January tragedy, a symbol of the struggle for freedom and independence of the Azerbaijani people, with a moment of silence to honor the memory of fallen soldiers.
The objectives included providing the Turkish public with information about Azerbaijan's just war and historical victory, as well as promoting the ideas of Azerbaijan-Turkey brotherhood and Turkic unity. The event fostered a spirit of national solidarity and unity among participants, who expressed appreciation for the attention and moral support given to veterans and martyr families.
