Commercial Invests £1.2M in Sustainable Refurbishment of Cheltenham HQ
Commercial has invested £1.2 million in upgrading its Cheltenham headquarters to enhance sustainability and inclusivity. The refurbishment includes an upgraded solar array that generated over 41,000kWh in its first year, resulting in an additional carbon saving of approximately 2.14tCO2e. Other efficiency measures such as voltage optimisation are expected to reduce electricity consumption by around 6%. The design accommodates neurodiverse individuals and features all-gender facilities and biophilic design elements. The company aims for sustainable growth, achieving EcoVadis Platinum status in 2025.

A voltage optimisation system will reduce electricity usage by about 6%. The project preserved the 1970s warehouse structure, minimizing embodied carbon. Workspace design includes features for neurodiverse colleagues and all-gender facilities. Commercial, employing nearly 300 people with a turnover of £98 million, aims for sustainable growth and achieved EcoVadis Platinum status in 2025.
