Completion of £9.9 Million Refurbishment at Keighley Station
The £9.9 million refurbishment of Keighley railway station was completed after 18 months of work, enhancing both functionality and heritage. This upgrade is expected to benefit passengers and preserve the historic structure for future generations.

The refurbishment of Keighley railway station, which concluded last year, involved an investment of £9.9 million over 18 months. Key upgrades included improvements to the forecourt, waiting room, footbridges, and drainage systems, alongside structural reinforcements.
More than 100 new window panes were installed, utilizing hand-built timber frames, while vintage-style aluminium drainpipes replaced old cast-iron versions. The station's exterior was restored to its original yellow vanilla and 'Keighley maroon' colors. This project aims to enhance passenger experience and maintain the site's historical integrity, potentially boosting local railway usage.
