Completion of East Braker Lane Extension Enhances Connectivity in Austin

The East Braker Lane extension, spanning three-quarters of a mile, is now complete, enhancing access for residents and employees in the Pioneer Crossing area of Austin. This extension facilitates better connectivity to significant locations such as the Samsung semiconductor campus and Pioneer Crossing Elementary School, addressing congestion on nearby roadways and increasing safety for pedestrians and cyclists.

The project includes multi-modal features such as sidewalks, protected bicycle lanes, and a pedestrian crossing at Taebaek Dr. The design prioritizes accessibility, aiming to serve the community's diverse transportation needs. Barriers at the extension's entrances may be removed shortly, further opening up access.
