Completion of EOLMED Floating Offshore Wind Project in France
The EOLMED project, a 30 MW pilot farm, was completed in September 2025, utilizing innovative coating systems for durability.

EOLMED, a 30 MW floating offshore wind pilot farm in France, was completed in September 2025 and is designed to produce approximately 110 million kWh annually. The project features three Vestas V164-10 MW turbines mounted on floating steel foundations, constructed by MP Archimed and designed by BW Ideol.
Jotun supplied solvent-free coating systems for both interior and exterior surfaces of the floaters, consuming nearly 60,000 liters of Jotacote Universal S120, Penguard Pro GF, and Hardtop AX. This project is expected to operate for 20 years, marking a significant advancement in renewable energy infrastructure. Successful collaboration among stakeholders highlights the importance of partnerships in achieving sustainability and technical goals within the offshore wind sector.
