Completion of First Phase of $85.26M Overhaul at Lawton Wastewater Treatment Plant
WATER INFRASTRUCTURE & DESALINATION
After two years, the first phase of the $85.26 million renovation of Lawton's 49-year-old wastewater treatment plant is complete. The City Council approved an $83,341 reduction in costs, finalizing the contract at $85,262,131. Although the project is now substantially complete, two minor tasks are outstanding: replacing damaged fiber optic cable and laying sod in areas disturbed during construction, which will be completed when the growing season allows.
