Concentric has acquired Critical Components, a provider of power and cooling infrastructure primarily serving data centers. This acquisition follows Concentric's own acquisition by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in 2023.

Critical Components specializes in uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and backup power solutions. The demand for data centers has positively impacted firms in the electrical equipment sector, leading to various partnerships. Notably, in November 2024, Schneider Electric and Switch Data Centers expanded their contract to $1.9 billion for the supply of prefabricated power modules.
