Conditional Use Hearing for Tuskes Homes Mixed-Use Development in North Whitehall Township
North Whitehall Township conducted a conditional use hearing on February 9 for Tuskes Homes Inc.'s proposed mixed-use development on a 114-acre site at Mauch Chunk Road and Cedar Crest Boulevard. The application submitted on November 26, 2025, is governed by the previous zoning ordinance despite a new ordinance adopted on December 1, 2025.
The proposal includes 30,000 square feet of commercial space and a centralized wastewater treatment plant due to project density. The board approved the conditional use for the treatment plant, with conditions from township staff and the planning commission. The project also encompasses 324 residential units and necessary roadway improvements.
