Construction Begins for Chobani's Dairy Facility Infrastructure in Rome, NY
Construction has commenced on a roundabout and noise wall on State Route 825 in Rome, NY, to facilitate a Chobani dairy processing facility. The project, funded by Oneida County and New York State, will serve as the primary access point to the 2-million-square-foot facility at Griffiss International Airport. Initial work involves tree removal, with traffic detours starting in May. The roundabout and noise wall are expected to be completed by fall 2026, alongside other utility projects to support the facility's needs.
