Capstone Building Corp. has commenced construction on two multifamily projects, Current at Grants Mill in Irondale, Alabama, and the $28.1 million Liva development in Travelers Rest, South Carolina, both due for 2027 delivery. Meanwhile, Matern Professional Engineering is upgrading central energy plants at two Flagler County high schools, with projected annual savings exceeding 213,000 kWh and rebates totaling $513,000.
In Miami, a 15,300-sq-ft roof renovation at the Mutiny Hotel has been completed, enhancing waterproofing while maintaining the original architectural style. Olara Residences in West Palm Beach is also advancing, a 28-story condominium set for 2028 completion, built on raised foundations to mitigate flooding. The lithium sector sees Smackover Lithium entering an offtake agreement for battery-grade lithium carbonate, indicative of growing demand in the market.
