CONVEY Project to Establish Hydrogen Ecosystem at Port of Hirtshals, Denmark
The CONVEY project aims to create an integrated hydrogen ecosystem at the Port of Hirtshals, Denmark, utilizing renewable energy from local wind turbines. It includes the construction of a 5 MW electrolyzer and a hydrogen refueling station, aimed at decarbonizing port operations.

The CONVEY project is set to establish an integrated hydrogen ecosystem at the Port of Hirtshals in Denmark, leveraging renewable energy from local wind turbines for green hydrogen production. Key components include a 5 MW electrolyzer, a hydrogen refueling station for heavy-duty transport, and distribution networks for hydrogen, oxygen, and heat.
The hydrogen produced will be used for fuel cell trucks and biorefinery processes. The project is led by a consortium of ten partners, including Norwegian Hydrogen, and is supported by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership and co-funded by the European Union.
