Copenhagen Offshore Partners Seeks Investors for $3 Billion San Miguel Bay Offshore Wind Farm in the Philippines
Copenhagen Offshore Partners is seeking investors for its $3 billion offshore wind farm in San Miguel Bay, Philippines, aiming for a capacity of up to 1,000 megawatts and targeting project completion by Q3 2028. The company plans to maintain at least 50% control and intends to submit an environmental compliance certificate application by summer 2026. ACEN Corp. has already acquired a 25% stake in the project, while the Philippine Department of Energy plans to auction 3.3 GW of offshore wind capacity this year.

Copenhagen Offshore Partners (COP) is seeking additional investors for its $3 billion offshore wind project in San Miguel Bay, Philippines, which aims for a capacity of up to 1,000 megawatts (MW). COP plans to maintain at least 50% control until project completion, expected by Q3 2028.
The company intends to submit an environmental compliance certificate application before summer 2026. Last year, ACEN Corp. acquired a 25% stake in the project, marking its entry into offshore wind. COP is also proposing a 650-MW project in Northern Samar and a 350-MW project in Dagupan, Pangasinan. The Philippine Department of Energy plans to auction 3.3 GW of offshore wind capacity this year, with a target to generate the first offshore wind output by 2028.
