Copper 360 Restructures for Higher-Grade Ore Development at Rietberg Mine
Copper 360 is shifting its operational focus to underground development at the Rietberg mine, aiming to improve long-term sustainability and profitability. The company will suspend processing of lower-grade material to allocate resources toward accessing higher-grade ore over the next four to five months.
Copper 360 has approved a restructuring that prioritizes underground development at the Rietberg mine, targeting higher-grade ore to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability. Processing of lower-grade broken stock will be temporarily halted as the company reallocates resources over the next four to five months.
This initiative aims to preserve cash and align costs with a sustainable operating model. The company maintains significant processing options, including a nearly complete Modular Flotation Plant 1, which could more than double its processing capacity upon commissioning. Labour consultations are underway to adjust the workforce to the new operational framework, reflecting the group's focus on long-term profitability amid challenging decisions.
