Cordon Group has launched Hexa DC, a mobile data center, to cater to crisis situations, with commercial sales starting six months ago. The product, housed in a 20-foot shipping container, is designed for easy transport and operation without requiring a construction permit.
Hexa DC includes a generator for autonomy, making it functional even in remote locations. The target markets include insurance, defense, and cybersecurity, with a base price of €350,000, potentially increasing with additional server integration.
The company has secured five orders to date, with production occurring in Ribeauvillé, Alsace. The project's military roots were highlighted when a prototype was used to protect servers during the November 2023 floods in Pas-de-Calais, demonstrating its practical application.
