CoreWeave Deploys Over 16,000 GPUs at Denton, Texas Data Center for OpenAI
CoreWeave has successfully deployed over 16,000 GPUs at its Denton, Texas data center, which is being developed for OpenAI, despite initial delays caused by a third-party developer. The rapid deployment included more than 2,000 GPUs coming online in a single day. OpenAI has established multi-billion-dollar contracts with CoreWeave, totaling $22.4 billion as of September 2025.

CoreWeave has deployed more than 16,000 GPUs at its Denton, Texas data center, which is under development for OpenAI. The deployment faced delays due to a third-party developer but was not expected to impact revenue.
The facility, initially reported to have few racks in November, saw rapid deployment, with over 2,000 GPUs brought online in one day. CoreWeave leases capacity from a Core Scientific data center, which is undergoing a $6.1 billion refurbishment to convert from cryptomining to AI. OpenAI has multi-billion-dollar contracts with CoreWeave, totaling $22.4 billion as of September 2025.
