Cornex New Energy's 70GWh lithium battery production base in Xiangyang has topped out its first cell production facility, Cell Workshop No. 3. The project, with a total investment of 22 billion RMB, started construction on October 28, 2025, and aims to create a full industrial chain for battery cells and energy storage systems.

The basic construction is complete, and installation of structural elements is underway. Cornex has a strategic layout in Hubei Province, with headquarters in Wuhan and manufacturing bases in Yichang, Xiaogan, and Xiangyang, as well as an overseas base planned in Egypt.

In Yichang, Phase I of its facility is in stable production, while Phase II construction is ongoing. Xiaogan has started full-scale production focused on energy storage cells, and the Wuhan headquarters is expanding logistics. A $200 million investment for a 5GWh factory in Egypt is planned.
