Cowboy Space Corp., previously known as Aetherflux, secured $275 million in Series B financing, achieving a valuation of $2 billion. The funding round was led by Index Ventures and included new investors IVP, Blossom Capital, and SAIC, as well as existing backers such as Breakthrough Energy Ventures and Andreessen Horowitz.
Founded in 2024 by Baiju Bhatt, co-founder of Robinhood Markets Inc., the company aims to develop data centers in orbit, which could transform data management and processing capabilities in the aerospace industry. The influx of capital indicates strong investor confidence in the growing space infrastructure market.
