Critical Mineral Resources Approaches 25 Million Ton Resource Certification at Agadir Melloul
Critical Mineral Resources (CMR) is finalizing its drilling program to certify a copper resource of 25 million tons at Agadir Melloul, with production slated to begin in 2027. The project shows significant potential growth due to additional mineralized veins that could enhance higher-grade resource estimates.

Critical Mineral Resources (CMR) is near completion of its drilling program aimed at certifying 25 million tons of copper resources at Agadir Melloul, with production targeted for 2027. The drilling rate is currently 1,200 meters per month, confirming the initial resource model and achieving a success rate of approximately 27%, exceeding the project's initial target of 5 to 10%.
Located 50 km east of the Tizert copper mine, the Agadir Melloul project shares geological similarities with Tizert, which has estimated resources of 130 million tons. CMR plans to finalize resource estimation by September 2026, followed by feasibility studies and environmental approvals by December 2026. The company aims to secure a mining block of at least 100 km² with certified resources.
