Croatia Allocates €450 Million Aid Package to Address Energy Market Disruptions
Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković announced a €450 million aid package aimed at mitigating the impact of energy market disruptions and security risks. This 10th aid package focuses on reducing fuel and liquefied petroleum gas prices, with additional support for agriculture and fisheries. Plenković emphasized Europe’s dependency on energy imports and the need for investment in renewable energy. He stated that Croatia is well-positioned for energy supply security and aims to maintain affordable prices.

Plenković highlighted Europe's high dependency on energy imports and the need for investment in renewable sources. He reassured that Croatia's energy supply security is intact, with operational oil and LNG terminals.
The government aims to keep retail prices lower than pre-crisis levels. Additionally, he mentioned enhancing Croatia's defense capabilities, with a tripled defense budget since 2016.
