Cyprus Enhances Tech Landscape with NVIDIA, Tenstorrent, and Plug and Play Partnerships
Cyprus is strengthening its technological infrastructure through partnerships with NVIDIA, Tenstorrent, and Plug and Play. These collaborations aim to boost the local economy, which sees over 14% of its GDP from technology, by enhancing computing capabilities and supporting innovation.
Cyprus is set to upgrade its national high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure through a strategic partnership with NVIDIA, which is expected to commence operations in June 2026. This supercomputer will facilitate advancements in artificial intelligence, biomedicine, and climate science, accessible to universities, research centers, the government, and businesses.
Additionally, Plug and Play is expanding into Cyprus to establish an innovation center aimed at supporting startups and connecting them to global networks. Their framework was approved by the Council of Ministers in December 2025. Tenstorrent's expansion in Cyprus is anticipated to create new jobs and further solidify the region's tech hub status.
