Cyprus is set to announce emergency support for its tourism sector facing challenges from regional instability. Concurrently, the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (Oev) awarded 19 hotels for their achievements in circular economy practices. This initiative, funded by the EU Recovery and Resilience Facility, aims to promote sustainable tourism in Cyprus, demonstrating the sector's readiness to adapt to modern challenges.

The Cyprus government will announce state support for the tourism sector this week as it faces challenges from regional instability. This follows a ceremony where the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation awarded 19 hotels with circular economy certificates, a culmination of a four-year initiative to promote sustainability in the industry.
The initiative, funded by the EU Recovery and Resilience Facility, highlights the sector's adaptation to environmental challenges. Hoteliers reported a slowdown in bookings for April and May, prompting calls for government support, including enhanced air connectivity and targeted safety campaigns.
