Daikin Aims for Continued Growth in Italy, Its Largest European Market
Daikin, led by new CEO Hiroshi Shimada, reported €639 million in sales for 2024 in Italy, targeting €700 million for 2025. Italy accounts for 13% of Daikin's EMEA revenue and is a key market for HVAC systems. The company has invested significantly in Italy, with plans to expand R&D and production capabilities. Daikin also focuses on heat pumps and aims to increase sales amid government support for renewable heating solutions, while expressing concerns over high product costs and energy prices.

Daikin, with its headquarters in Osaka, Japan, reported €639 million in sales in Italy for 2024, expecting to reach €700 million in 2025. Italy is Daikin's largest European market, contributing 13% to EMEA revenue.
The company operates 13 R&D centers and 18 factories in Europe, seven of which are in Italy, employing over 2,300 people. Daikin plans to invest €19 million in 2026 to expand production capacity. The firm is also focused on heat pump technology, having sold over 120,000 units across Europe and aims for further sales growth in light of supportive government policies, despite concerns over high product costs.
