Danske Commodities Signs 10-Year Optimization Deal for 400MWh Windyhill Battery in UK

Danske Commodities has entered into a ten-year optimization agreement for the 400MWh Windyhill Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) located outside Glasgow. This agreement is the company’s largest battery storage asset to date.
The project, developed by Revera Energy, has a capacity of 200MW/400MWh. Danske Commodities will utilize its automated algorithmic setup to maximize returns from wholesale and ancillary services markets. The company plans to expand its portfolio of flexible assets, anticipating increased demand for services that allow for the management of batteries and other flexible energy assets.
