Daphne Technology Secures CHF 15 Million from Taranis for Methane Reduction Initiative
Daphne Technology has secured CHF 15 million in funding from Taranis to enhance its methane abatement system's commercialization. This investment will facilitate the establishment of U.S. manufacturing capabilities and bolster product development to address methane emissions in the natural gas sector.

Daphne Technology has closed a CHF 15 million investment round led by Taranis, joining existing investors Shell Ventures and Trafigura. The funding aims to establish U.S. manufacturing capacity and advance product development and technical services to support the natural gas industry.
Methane slip, which represents 55% of methane emissions from natural gas compressor engines, poses significant regulatory challenges under the U.S. Clean Air Act and EU ETS. The company’s SlipPure™ technology utilizes a patented process to achieve a 90% reduction in methane emissions and is currently being demonstrated on a 2,000 HP engine in the U.S. Increasing regulatory pressures and technological advancements could drive widespread adoption of methane abatement solutions across the gas sector.
