Daqo New Energy has announced a 6 billion yuan investment to create the Daqo Smart Energy System Manufacturing Base in Kunshan, Jiangsu. This project, developed by Daqo Energy Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., will establish a legal entity focused on energy storage and Artificial Intelligence Data Center (AIDC) power supply systems.
The construction will occur in phases, with the first phase budgeted at 2.1 billion yuan. Daqo aims to leverage its expertise in power electronics and system integration to support this diversification strategy. This expansion may reduce operational risks associated with the polysilicon market and offer new revenue opportunities, positioning Daqo strategically in the evolving energy sector.
