Data Center Development Drives Hiring Growth at Cupertino Electric in Edgerton
Cupertino Electric in Edgerton has initiated a hiring surge linked to the booming data center sector. The company is expanding its workforce to support modular electrical systems for data centers, reflecting a significant opportunity in the local job market amid otherwise flat growth.

Cupertino Electric, located in Edgerton since 2018, is now actively recruiting for high-paying positions related to modular electrical control rooms designed for new data centers. This hiring wave coincides with a broader trend of data center development across southern Wisconsin, particularly in Rock County, which is emerging as a key area for such projects.
The facility, a former manufacturing site that had been largely vacant for over 30 years, was acquired by Phoenix Investors in 2016 and subsequently leased to Cupertino. The data center industry is expected to create a ripple effect in job opportunities, significantly impacting local economies as companies like Cupertino provide essential components for data center operations nationwide.
