Data Center Industrial Park Proposed in Camden County, Georgia
A Jacksonville businessman plans to rezone 700 acres in Camden County for an industrial park that permits data centers. This initiative comes amid rising scrutiny, as 11 counties in Georgia have enacted bans on such developments.

A proposal for an industrial park that would facilitate data centers is under consideration for nearly 700 acres of land in Camden County, Georgia. This land, owned by V V Farm Inc. and Sapling Farms LLC, is adjacent to Interstate 95 and includes areas within Kingsland city limits.
The rezoning from Agriculture Forestry to Light Industrial is scheduled for discussion at the Kingsland Planning and Zoning Board meeting on May 4. Notably, at least 11 counties in Georgia, including Glynn County, have imposed restrictions on data center developments due to concerns over resource consumption. The outcome of this proposal could influence future zoning regulations and the growth of data centers in the region.
