Dawsongroup Acquires First Hydrogen-Powered JCB Generator
Dawsongroup has integrated the world's first hydrogen-powered JCB generator into its fleet, enhancing its commitment to sustainability in temporary power solutions. This acquisition aligns with industry trends toward zero-emission technologies, particularly in high-demand sectors like data centers.

Dawsongroup has taken delivery of the first hydrogen-powered JCB generator, the G60RS H, which provides equivalent power and efficiency to diesel models without carbon emissions. This addition expands their fleet of JCB generators, which now includes over 155 units, following an investment exceeding £4 million in Stage V models in the past year.
The G60RS H will serve as standby power for a data center, responding to growing demands for reliable energy sources amid increased environmental scrutiny. JCB’s hydrogen combustion engine is part of a £100 million program aimed at developing zero-carbon alternatives to diesel. This system supports on-site microgrids combining battery-electric and hydrogen technologies, optimizing fuel consumption and ensuring quieter operation during usage.
