ENERGY STORAGESTRATEGIC MINERALS
DDP Specialty Electronic Materials US, LLC, a subsidiary of DuPont, is expanding its Midland, MI facility, creating 22 new jobs and investing $20 million. The Michigan Strategic Fund is supporting this expansion with a $200,000 grant from the Michigan Business Development Program.
The project will add 6,000 square feet for electric vehicle battery materials production and include new truck docks and warehouse space, along with a five-story facility for thermal adhesives. The new positions will start at $30 per hour, surpassing the regional median wage by over $9. DDP opted for Michigan over its facilities in China and Germany, citing labor cost differences.
