DEEP Manufacturing to Launch WAAM Facility in Houston, Texas for Energy and Defense Sectors
DEEP Manufacturing, a British expert in Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM), plans to officially launch a 50,000 sq. ft. facility in Houston on May 6. The site will enhance large-scale additive manufacturing capabilities for energy, defense, and maritime customers. The facility will start with four WAAM robotic systems and aims to expand to around 30 employees by year-end, contributing to a $10 million investment in U.S. manufacturing.

DEEP Manufacturing will launch a 50,000 sq. ft. facility in Houston, Texas on May 6, focusing on Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) for energy, defense, and maritime sectors. Initially equipped with four WAAM robotic systems, the facility will produce components in carbon steel and nickel-based alloys, including a pressure-rated vessel to be certified to DNV standards.
DEEP plans to grow its workforce from 10 to around 30 by the end of the year as part of a $10 million investment aimed at enhancing U.S. advanced manufacturing capabilities. The launch is a year ahead of schedule and positions DEEP closer to crucial markets in energy and industrial engineering.
