Delhi Government to Present Green Budget Amid Net-Zero Initiatives at India Climate Week
Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa announced that the Delhi Government is aggressively pursuing net-zero targets, with the upcoming budget set to be a Green Budget that reflects a commitment to environmentally responsible policies. At India Climate Week, organized by the Carbon Makers Association of India (CMAI), discussions focused on clean fuels, notably green hydrogen's role in decarbonizing hard-to-electrify sectors like transport and shipping.
A report on Indian CCTS by Ernst & Young, in collaboration with CMAI, emphasized the urgency of energy transition amid geopolitical challenges. The event also featured the presentation of Net Zero scarves symbolizing commitment to climate initiatives.
