DEME Consortium Expands Cuxhaven Offshore Wind Terminal with New Berths
DEME is collaborating with Depenbrock, TAGU, and Boskalis to expand the Cuxhaven offshore wind terminal in Germany. The project will add three new berths to enhance capacity for wind turbine component handling, addressing rising storage needs in the renewable energy sector.

Offshore contractor DEME, alongside Depenbrock, TAGU, and Boskalis, is expanding the Cuxhaven offshore wind terminal in Germany. This project includes the construction of three new berths (5-7), featuring 1,350 meters of a heavy-load quay wall and 38 hectares of terminal space.
This expansion aims to enhance the terminal's capacity for handling and storing wind energy components, catering to both offshore and onshore demands. DEME will utilize its trailing suction hopper dredger, Meuse River, for associated dredging and land reclamation. The completion of this project aligns with previous initiatives by Dajin Heavy Industry and Briese Schiffahrt to establish wind marshalling services at the port.
