Desalination Plant Planned for Polis Chrysochous Amid Critical Water Situation
Paphos district governor Charalambos Pittokopitis stated that the water situation in Polis Chrysochous is critical but manageable. Final decisions on irrigation will be made in April after reviewing dam water reserves. A desalination plant is planned to address water supply issues, with operations expected by summer 2027.
