Detroit Engineered Products and AVL Partner to Optimize Propulsion Design with MeshWorks and EXCITE
Detroit Engineered Products (DEP) and AVL have formed a strategic partnership to provide a toolchain combining AVL EXCITE and MeshWorks. This collaboration aims to enhance the propulsion design cycle for mobility companies in the U.S. and Europe. AVL will distribute MeshWorks, enabling CAE engineers to create finite element models from CAD data and optimize designs for various applications including automotive and aerospace.

Detroit Engineered Products (DEP) has partnered with AVL to deliver a toolchain that integrates AVL EXCITE with DEP's MeshWorks platform, aimed at optimizing the propulsion design cycle. AVL will become an authorized distributor of MeshWorks in the U.S. and Europe.
The toolchain enables CAE engineers to create finite element models from CAD data, allowing for shape and topology optimization without CAD involvement. This partnership targets applications in light and heavy-duty vehicles, marine, and aerospace sectors, with the goal of accelerating design cycles through efficient iterations.
