DHL Group and Statkraft Finalize 10-Year Renewable Energy Agreement in Germany
DHL Group has secured a 10-year power purchase agreement with Statkraft for renewable energy from a wind farm in Germany. This initiative aims to enhance DHL's energy resilience and support the growth of renewable capacity in the region.

DHL Group has signed a 10-year power purchase agreement with Statkraft, effective February, to supply approximately 35GWh of renewable electricity yearly from the Sollwitt-Pobüll onshore wind park in Schleswig-Holstein. This park, commissioned in 2025, has an installed capacity of 13.2MW, covering about 8% of DHL's electricity demand in Germany.
The contract, executed by Deutsche Post, marks DHL's first long-term onshore wind PPA in Germany, complementing its existing offshore agreements. This move strengthens DHL's energy supply resilience and contributes to renewable capacity expansion in the country. The logistics sector's energy requirements position it as a significant player in the energy transition.
