The Diboll City Council approved a $3.2 million construction contract for wastewater treatment plant improvements during a regular meeting. The contract was awarded to Duplichain Contractors, the lowest bidder among three.

The project will cover essential upgrades and an additional task of removing accumulated grit from the oxidation ditch. The council also received an annual operations update from Neches Pines Golf Course.
