Digital Edge Announces $4.5 Billion Data Center in Jakarta; NVIDIA Invests $2 Billion in CoreWeave

DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTUREDEFENSE

Digital Edge plans to develop a $4.5 billion data center in Jakarta, Indonesia, with a capacity of up to 1 GW, expected to be operational by Q4 2026. NVIDIA will invest $2 billion in CoreWeave to support the establishment of over 5 GW of AI factories by 2030.

Oracle has been confirmed as a major tenant at the Project Jupiter data center in New Mexico, developed by Stack and BorderPlex Digital Assets. Applied Digital is set to create an AI factory campus in the Southern U.S.

Voltage Park has merged with Lightning AI, retaining the latter's name. Soluna Holdings and MetroBloks are co-developing a ~100 MW AI data center in West Texas named Project Kati 2. CoreWeave has deployed 16,000 GPUs in its Denton, Texas facility.

New Zealand's 2degrees and HPE are partnering for sovereign AI capabilities. A new supercomputer for the U.S. Army is operational in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

KDDI's Osaka Sakai Data Center has begun operations, and G42 expects AI chip shipments soon for its Stargate UAE project. HUMAIN and the Saudi National Infrastructure Fund have announced a $1.2 billion financing agreement for AI data center capacity.
