Digital Edge Secures $665 Million Green Financing for 500 MW Data Center in Bekasi
Digital Edge has closed $665 million in green financing to support the first phase of its 500 MW data center campus in Bekasi, Indonesia. This funding is part of a $4.5 billion multi-phase investment and is recognized as one of the largest green financings for data centers in the country.
The initiative supports Digital Edge's goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030 and strengthens its position in sustainable digital infrastructure in the Asia Pacific. The campus is designed for high-performance AI workloads, targeting a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.25, and will include water recycling systems and plans for renewable energy integration. Key financial partners include BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole CIB, and DBS Bank.
