Digital Realty Expands in Italy with New Data Center Campus in Milan
Digital Realty has acquired two parcels of land in Abbiategrasso, near Milan, to develop an 8 MW data center campus. The facility, set to be operational by 2028, will support growing demand for cloud and AI services, with future expansion potential up to 84 MW. This development complements Digital Realty's existing project in Rome, expected to launch in early 2027.

Digital Realty is expanding its presence in Italy by acquiring two land parcels in Abbiategrasso, near Milan, to develop an 8 MW data center campus. The first phase is expected to be operational in 2028, with an expansion plan allowing for a total of 84 MW of capacity.
This campus will enhance the digital ecosystem in Milan, situated on key subsea traffic corridors and near existing hyperscale regions. Concurrently, Digital Realty is constructing its first facility in Rome, ROM1, which is set to launch in early 2027, further solidifying its commitment to Italy's digital infrastructure.
